A Citywide Volunteer Program Coordinator is a professional
classification located in Neighborhood Outreach, and is responsible

The Volunteer Engagement Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the Volunteer Manager to ensure the success of the Phoenix Zoo’s Volunteer Program through development and implementation of training opportunities, coordination of volunteers into specialty service roles, organization of volunteer events, and direct oversight of corporate volunteer groups. The Volunteer Engagement Coordinator is also responsible for providing administrative support for the Volunteer Program, which includes email and phone communication and database management.
In partnership with the Points of Light Institute, the Governor’s Commission on Service and Volunteerism has been selected as a hub for the state of Arizona to support the national expansion of the Service Enterprise Initiative (SEI).
